Subject: Re: Help converting Drachma to Euros
Hi Susie, I read some place that drachmas weren´t convertible to Euros because the period had finished.

I have done a quick search, and I have found the following site : http://www.bankofgreece.gr/en/euro/EuroBanknotesAndCoins.htm

You can still change drachma banknotes at any Bank of Greece office until 2012. The period to change coins finished in 2004.

Those periods are different depending on the european country, so it is best to check the central bank websites in order to find out if your money can still be changed. Here you have some of those sites :

Austria http://www.oenb.at/ Belgium http://www.bnb.be/ Finland http://www.bof.fi/ France http://www.banque-france.fr/ Germany http://www.bundesbank.de/ Ireland http://www.centralbank.ie/ Italy http://www.bancaditalia.it/ Luxembourg http://www.bcl.lu/ The Netherlands http://www.dnb.nl/ Portugal http://www.bportugal.pt/ Spain http://www.bde.es/

Have a great trip !
