Dear Gerry,
In all the Greek islands you can find small towns, back roads, local food and private accommodations. If I understand well, you want to visit an island of Dodecanese complex, right? Two years ago, I have been to Rodos and Leros and for this year I'm planning a trip to Symi and Nisyros. Here are some related URLs: About Symi: http://www.symivisitor.com http://www.symisland.com I have booked at the Hotel Fiona http://www.symivisitor.com/Fiona.htm About Rodos: http://www.greeka.com/dodecanese/rhodes http://www.rodos.com http://www.rhodesguide.com I stayed at hotel "Rodos Park Suites Hotel", a wonderful hotel in the town http://www.rodospark.gr/home.html About Leros: http://www.lerosisland.com http://www.leros.org http://www.leros-island.org I stayed in a studio at Krithoni Bay View http://tinyurl.com/l7z2 and http://www.lerosisland.com/bayviewleros.html About Nisyros: http://www.nisyros.com http://www.nisyrosnet.gr http://www.nisyros-elisabeth.de In general about Dodecanese islands: http://www.Dodecanese-islands.com How much time do you plan to stay in Greece? Are you planning to arrive by plane or by boat from Italy? If you want, I can help you to organise a nice trip. Except Dodecanese island, I strongly recommend to visit Cyclades islands, which are not close to turkey, but they are wonderful. The most known islands of Cyclades are Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, Ios.... Please let me know if you need some information on these islands. Best Regards, Joanna in Athens |
