I am overwhelmed! All the website links have been great - I've narrowed the countless choices down to 2: 1 apt in the 7thE on Rue Dominique and Maubourg (this is from one of the companies that someone here suggested recently) and the other apt. in the 5th close to the Sorbonne and Pantheon.

Is any one place better situated than the other? (I don't know paris that well, but I seem to recall that the area close to the Eff. Tower was very nice, but seemed far away.)

So, if anyone wants to 'weigh in' on which area is best, 5th or 7th, please let me know. I will traveling with my daugther (age 25) who has never been to Paris, so museums are a must.

BTW: it is Premier Vision week, but it has actually worked out. My daughter does costuming for the Nat'l Opera and is planning on attending at least one day of the expo. Who knew?
