Vanessa,

The 7th is the largest arrondisement, so saying the 7th could mean anything. That said, if you're travelling with your 25 y.o. daughter, stay in the 5th. It's very lively and easy to wander to the 6th where there are great restaurants and cafe's.

When you walk through rue de Huchette, just know that Lonely Planet calls that street the Tomaine street. It filled with cheap middle eastern places where the cleanliness is suspect, so stay away from dining on that street though it's lots of fun to wander.

I took my Mother to Paris 3 years ago for her Mother's Day gift and we had a wonderful time. I know that you and your daughter will really enjoy your stay there.

Safe travels,
