Subject: Re: Summer Plans? |
Hi Ziners,
Good topic. When we lived in NYC, we really needed to travel then. Aside from the fact that we had kids in school the rest of the year, we really just needed to get away from the heat. Now that I live in upstate NY and the kids are grown, it's hard to draw me away between May and October. However, in November and March I'm ready to go at a moment's notice. Generally in the summer, we like to do things locally, since there is so much going on in the Hudson Valley and Berkshires. That being said, for some time my husband and I have been wanting to explore French Canada. Since summer is a good time for that and that's when our dog-sitting son will be available, we shall go for a week or so in early July. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. We'll be driving and know that we want to visit Quebec City, but other than that, our itinerary is totally open. We're budget minded, both by choice and necessity, and love staying at B&Bs.
