|Subject: Re: Summer Plans?|
This summer will be busier than usual, but we are at the mercy of our kids' school holidays. At the end of June, we head to Las Vegas with our kids, niece and sister-in-law. We are booked for 4 nights at the Mandalay Bay so that the kids can enjoy their great pool area (voted the best pool area in Las Vegas) and to see the magic show Lance Burton. We took them to the Grand Canyon last year, so will stay in and around Las Vegas this year.
Then we will be taking part in our annual family reunion weekend at a camp north of Montreal, followed by a week there with my in laws staying as well. Then in August, thanks to Aeroplan tickets, we are off to Western Canada. We fly into Calgary, pick up a car and after two nights there, tour through Banff, Golden, Revelstoke, and Kamloops, to Hell's Gate to ride on the Airtram, to Vancouver for two nights before flying home to Ottawa. I wanted my two girls (12 and 16) to see some of western Canada. In past summers, we have gone east, to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island, and to the north shore of Quebec including a stay in Quebec City.
So, it will be a busy summer!
