Subject: Pointing in Paris
Hello Ziners:

I ran across some old threads from April talking about asking for pieces of things or tastes of things in France and that by pointing along with some basic French one can communicate better. I sure do a lot of pointing in other countries, and love those electronic cash register displays.

I think I remember reading that the Parisians think that pointing at things in shops with one's finger is bad form. I already start off on the wrong foot in Paris by asking for coffee with my meal.

Any thoughts? Peter in San Francisco
