We've just booked a cruise, last minute, leaving home on Thursday June 9, and need some help!

We will fly into London Gatwick. Cruise leaves from Southampton the following day. Does anyone have information on transportation from Gatwick to Southampton? Also would appreciate any suggestions for a hotel, some sights, and a restaurant in Southampton, as we've never been to Southampton.

After the cruise we will have 3 days to spend in London before flying home from Gatwick. Any suggestions for a B&B or hotel("inexpensive") in the London area with access to the Tube?
