Hi Frances:

I use a Pocket PC PDA handheld to keep notes during my trips. I have the advantage of using MS Word for Pocket PC to keep the notes so I can havemore formatting of the notes. I also can make notes during the trip. One disadvantage is I can't store my digital photos on it but then I just buy more compact flash memory that is very cheap now. The Pocket PC also has a bigger screen then the Ipod so reading notes on it is easier. Of course the Pocket PC can't compare to the Ipod for playing music, but I can store 20 music albums on it for listening. I usually don't listen to a lot of music when I travel. Just another gadget option.
