Subject: Re: Sending Foreign Currency Overseas |
Hi Dot and other Ziners,
This might sound a little strange, but it worked for me. When my daughter lived in Israel for a year, I wanted to send birthday money to her. It was looking very complicated at the bank, and eventually, I came up with a plan. I knew that American currency was welcome in the country, so I mailed her six $20 bills, each in a separate envelope, every few days, along with the regular letters that I sent frequently. I just used ordinary postage, and it looked like a regular letter. They all got there, with no problem. Margaret in grey, cool Toronto |
