I use Western Union to send my deposits. The deposit money is received in the country's currency. I recently reserved a cottage in Tuscany. The owner did not accept credit cards and did not want to wait for a check of any kind. She wanted "Euros" in her hand! So, Western Union. I took care of it on-line and the next day she picked up the "cash." Everyone was happy!
