Hello,
If you like whales and whale-watching, another spot on the north shore of the river is Tadoussac, located at the mouth of the Saguenay River. If you continue down the notrh shore after Tadoussac, there are Ferry crossings at Forestveiile to Rimouski on a 'Fast Catamaran Ferry' The website is http://www.traversier.com and between Baie Comeau / Godbout and Matane - http://www.traversiers.gouv.qc.ca Unfortunately, the sites are in French but you shouldn't have a problem. I'll be driving down the South shore past the Metis Gardens tomorrow, driving an old friend to her summer home by the lighthouse in Metis Beach. I can recommend stopping at the Gardens. They are marvelous! Happy travels! Peter, Montreal |
