Subject: Using USA power cords in Europe |
Ciao Ziners,
I have a Minolta A2 camera purchased in the USA. I wish to take it to Italy. Of course, I will bring the charger. The charger is rated for 110-240 volts so it should be OK with Italian electricity. But, the manual warns that the cord should only be used in the USA and not in other areas. I have been told that this warning is there only because they have not had the UL testing done in order to certify it for European current. But, for practical purposes the cord will work just fine in Europe. Does anybody have any experience with this situation/problem and can offer advice? Thanks. Paul Near Seattle |
