Yes, the train from Sorrento to Naples is just a commuter train (Circumvesuviana http://www.vesuviana.it/nebula/ only in Italian :-( Anyway there is the connection to the central station in Naples, where leave the trains to Roma, at the station "Napoli Garibaldi".
