Subject: Re: Train from Sorrento to Roma |
Hi Paul,
There are sites which post the timetables for the train. It is frequent. Although not authoritative, they give you an idea of how frequent they are (and they are!) http://tinyurl.com/cgu3n http://www.dia.unisa.it/DISC2003/sorrento.shtml#getthere The train itself has part of its site in English but some links don't work. The fare link does. http://www.vesuviana.it/infoeng.htm The trick to all this is the train stations in Naples. If I recall correctly, you have to switch. My guide book says that the Circumvesuviana "leaves from its own terminus in corsa Galibaldi, south of (and accessible from) Stazione Centrale." Frances Toronto, Canada |
