Hi Marguerite in Chicagoland and Fellow Ziners!
The sculptured rocks in France are exactly what I am talking about...finding an interesting sign along the road and stopping to explore, or visiting a city and stumbling onto something unexpected and unusual.
I found the picture of the sculptures on Marguerite's website and ran a web search for Abbe Foure. Looks like he created his sculptures with a simple chisel and a big hammer, impressive. He chiseled 300 sculptures from 1893 (at age 54) to his death in 1910.
Thanks for sharing, maybe when I visit France, I will look for the sculptures!
