Just when it seemed that we'd never reach consensus on a venue for our family reunion, my nephew convinced the woman of his dreams to marry him on Long Island in October!

Since we find driving a drag and short haul air travel too expensive, we've been considering the train. We'd be leaving Toronto at 8:30 am, arriving at Penn Station at 9:45 pm, then switching to the Long Island Railroad for a one hour trip to Huntington.

Having no experience whatsoever with train travel in North America, we'd love to hear from Ziners if our proposed itinerary for a single day might be too exhausting. Also, how much time will be needed at Penn Station to make the Amtrak / LIRR connection?
