Your input is much welcomed. Leaving in early October. Flying RT Milan. Since we are all using frequent flyer miles, we were forced with this as our only option.

We arrive early morning and drive to Aosta. 3 nights: Aosta-Stay at Hotel Milleluci http://www.hotelmilleluci.com Our friends especially wanted a taste of the Italian/French Alps.

2 nights: ??? As of now I am thinking of Santa Margherita. This is meant to be a stopover on our way to Tuscany.

3 nights: Barga -Still narrowing down our inn. There's a chance that we'll stay at/near Lucca instead and make Barga a day trip.

3 nights: Chianti - Will either stay at an agriturismo we have stayed at the last two years: Podere Torre in Greve or may try something new.

4 nights: South Tuscany- I really like Montalcino, but may choose Montepulciano or Pienza.

7 nights: Rome- Again staying at the great Hilton Cavalieri. Our friends will leave us there on their way to Sorrento for three nights and will meet us back at our hotel the last 4 nights. There's a slight chance we will go with them, but probably not.

1 night: Milan- We'll train early to Milan and stay at Hilton. Will spend a short day there before flying out.

It's not how I would have planned it, too much traveling. It, however, seems to have things to please everyone. Thanks for your advice.
