Subject: Re: Music!
Hello Everyone,

Yes I too find music very evocative. It can be lovely to be unexpectedly transported to another time and place.

Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini will forever remind me of Vietnam in 1994.

Ditto Elvis singing "Blue Xmas Without You" of the sweltering heat of Bali in September 1998.

Vangelis "Themes" album, in particular "Chariots of Fire" of our terrace on Santorini in 2001.

"Era" of the Empress Zoe hotel and Istanbul again in 2001.

"Tai Chi" by Oliver Shanti and Friends of dining under the stars in Bagan Myanmar in 2002.

I rushed out and bought the CD's of Vangelis, Era and Oliver Shanti as soon as I got home, the Elvis we already had on an ancient old record, I gave I.B.T.W.Y.P.B. a miss, although it still brings a smile to my face on the very rare occasions I hear it.
