About AMTRAK service:
I was out about 10:00 one Friday morning doing a downtown hike here in Tucson. The refurbishment of our train station had been recently completed so I decided to stroll over and take a look at it.
When I entered I noticed about ten people waiting for a train. Now the Sunset Limited is the only passenger train serving Tucson, and I noticed a large sign telling the days the Sunset runs each direction (it runs three times a week each way); Friday was not such a day.
I went over to the AMTRAK clerk and asked, "If there aren't any trains today, what are those people waiting for?"
He replied, "Last night's train".
