I am traveling to Oregon on Sunday for two weeks. I was planning to drive along the Columbia River, then down to Mt Hood, south to Ashland (for some Shakespeare ? we have purchased tickets for Thursday thru Sunday) and then maybe up the coast or ??. The more I read the tour books the more concerned I become about crowds and choosing the areas to explore.

We are looking for serenity, quiet walks along streams, and an easy vacation. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
