Hi Ziners
This month's issue of National Geographic Traveler lists some great train journeys. It includes updates about several North American trips such as a 12-hour route on the Denali Star between Fairbanks and Anchorage and a two-day Fraser Discovery Route from Whistler to Jasper with an overnight in remote Prince George en route. The new route from Rocky Mountaineer allows a complete excursion trip by train through the Canadian Rockies. Years ago I took the train from Vancouver through the Rockies to Toronto sleeping in couchettes. Quite at rip. You only realize how big the province of Ontario is when you see how long it takes to get from its western border to Toronto.
