This month's issue of National Geographic Traveler lists some great train journeys. It includes updates about several North American trips such as a 12-hour route on the Denali Star between Fairbanks and Anchorage and a two-day Fraser Discovery Route from Whistler to Jasper with an overnight in remote Prince George en route. The new route from Rocky Mountaineer allows a complete excursion trip by train through the Canadian Rockies.
