I have switched about the Special Menus from Fruit Plate to Vegetarian to Diabetic to Low Calorie. Low Calorie is quite good with United and Singapore's Fruit Plate is marvelous. If you have connecting flights, you can do different menus on different segments. When there was two of us, we did one Fruit Plate and one Diabetic and shared! It works!
