In August, most Japanese have a one week vacation for Obon week. Since it is summer, I thought I`d take the chance to go to the northernmost island of Hokkaido. I plan on staying in Sapporo and then going around from there. The biggest national park in Japan is in Hokkaido so I hope to do some hiking. Sapporo also sounds like quite an interesting city. If anyone has been there, please send me some information. It is hard finding some information on some of the smaller cities in the area.
