Hello, Landra,
At the Westin on the Riverwalk, you will be staying right in the middle of what's fun in San Antonio. Here are some suggestions: 1. The Alamo, of course! 2. La Villita, a delightful little village on the Riverwalk, with small artisan shops, etc. 3. The Institute of Texian Cultures at the Hemisphere needle 4. El Mercado, a flavor of Mexico's marketplaces and restaurants, about a 10 block walk from the Riverwalk (Good Mexican food and often a fiesta occurring in the plaza) 5. There is a green trolley (actually motorized, not on tracks) that will take you around the sights of San Antonio 6. Take a boat ride on the River 7. Eat all the Mexican and Tex-Mex food you can. It's rarely better than what you find in San Antonio. 8. Walk the Riverwalk. It's great fun. San Antonio is really geared for tourists and very, very friendly. Enjoy.
