Joan's note about Vienna brought back memories - we were there two years ago in the fall.

Figlmuellers is a must as Joan noted. We shared our meals and had more than enough. In Salzburg, we too took the Sound of Music Tour - this took us to the countryside we might not have otherwise seen. We took Bob's Tours http://www.bobstours.com/ It is a smaller tour, and goes places the big bus cannot. Both Vienna and Salzburg are great places to visit.

We also stayed at the Haus Ballwein. It was clean - near enough the city - great view of surrounding mountains - took the bus into town - it stops right outside the door (they give you change on the bus). We also stayed at Gasthof Zauner in Hallstatt. We ate a their amazing restaurant both nites, fish right out of the lake.
