Subject: Back to Mexico this Winter: Oaxaca question
Dear Travelziners...

Last year we sent off a request for advice to this group from two Oregonians eager to escape the long grey time that is winter here in the northwest.

We went south with the recommendation to visit Guadalajara and there stay at the Casa de la Flores, an area bed and breakfast. http://www.casadelasflores.com

We had a great ten days and now we are planning to escape Oregon again in January, except this year we are thinking we'd like to visit Oaxaca.

Our plan is to fly from Portland, OR, and then settle in for a week in Oaxaca City. I dutifully checked the archives and came across a reference to Las Golondrinas at Calle Tinoco y Palacios, a hotel recommended by Ziner John Rule. This sounds like the kind of place we have in mind.

Has anybody been to Oaxaca in the last year or two? Las Golondrinas sounds like what we're looking for but things change and time passes and I'm wondering if we should look at other accomadations before we book into what was the first place we came across. Any advice from anyone?

TheTravelzine has been very helpful in the past so we're back again for another go.
