Hi Nelly,
Here's a link to the Toronto film office. There is a list of current productions and past: http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/tfto/index.htm You can also search for Toronto in Internet Movie Database: http://us.imdb.com/Sections/Locations/ Cinderella Man, for example, was shot in Toronto. Toronto is a big city with all the usual things going on. The art of Catherine the Great from the Hermitage will be at the Art Gallery of Ontario from October 1st to January 1st. http://ago.net/ There's a Billy Joel musical in s theatre as well as ballet, concerts, other plays, etc. Ice skating at Harbourfront and City Hall (skates for rent) - artificial rink! Depends on your interests. Good shopping! Many interesting ethnic areas including three large Chinatowns (2 are easily accessible). A good zoo (not downtown but accessible by public transit), a science museum with interactivities, a textile museum, a very interesting shoe museum (Bata) and more. Casa Loma, a "castle" built by an eccentric millionaire. Downtown, uptown. CN Tower with a great view. Here are a few more links: http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/visitors/ http://www.torontotourism.com/Visitor/CalendarOfEvents Search for your visit dates. http://www.math.toronto.edu/toronto/ A good list of links.
