For those of you considering a late summer or fall trip to NOL, think about attending the Shaw Festival, a great Canadian repertory theatre company. Most of the offerings are by George Bernard Shaw but they throw in a handful of other playwrights also.

This year, they are offering their first musical "Gypsy" and we've managed to get tickets to a Friday afternoon matinee in mid-October. You can visit their website at http://www.shawfest.com/ Tickets can be ordered online or through a toll free number. Seating is shown on the site.

On a recent trip there in July, we located a small motel at the Marina called "The Anchorage" which has a very nice small restaurant. It's in a lovely quiet location and certainly not "five star" but it appears to be clean and the price is sure right. From September 1-30, a room with one queen bed goes for 75 CAD and with two queen beds 95 CAD.
