Every time I stand on the top of one of the ski hills in Banff National Park, Alberta, and look at the surrounding peaks, I have a WOW moment.

Other WOW moments include being enveloped in silence at the top of the Jungfrau in Switzerland, in King's Canyon, Australia, and at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Closer to home, sunsets in the Muskoka area of Ontario, lightening storms across the lake and starry nights leave me stunned.

Non-nature WOW experiences include my first views of the Acropolis, Michelangelo's magnificent David sculpture in Florence and the Schoenbrunn Palace, Austria. After my recent visit to St. Petersburg, I now add Peterhof to the list.
