Hello Linda and Ziners -
It is fascinating to read about all the WOWs - all over the world. And reliving so many of them. My WOWs have to be divided into nature and built places. They both have brought some great WOWs from me. The Fall foliage in New England - no matter how many times I see it it is always WOOOOOOW!!! Machu Pichu, Peru Walking on top of an Alaskan glacier and then back to the helicopter. Scotland´s North Isles shores and landscapes, where one comes suddenly upon such magnificent views. Grand Canyon at sunset. Walking along Cape Cod´s shore in the fall among silence and mist. Going into caves in a small boat in Thailand and the Gruta Azul, Naples, Italy Though many built places have made a tremendous impression on me, only a few caused a WOW. St. Magnus Cathedral, Orkney, Scotland Kentuck Knob, a Frank Lloyd Wright house in Pennsylvania A hotel that had been a prince´s palace, Ubud, Bali Katsura "Palace", Kyoto, Japan The Cathedral in Burgos, Spain The gold temples in Bangkok, Thailand Finlandia Hall, a Alavar Aalto concert hall, Helsinki, Finland Epidaurus Amphitheatre, near Athens, Greece The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao, Spain WOW!!! Was it marvelous to feel all this!!!! Regards, Susana São Paulo, Brasil |
