Bob and Mary,
Usually we rent a car when we think that the local service
won't take us to places we want to visit. However, when we
travelled in Sicily we used the local bus service and
managed to see all of the places we had to planned to
visit. I suspect that this is the service used by the
locals, judging from the schedule.
I do think that you can see Sicily, or any other part of Italy, using the local transportation, if you are willing to accommodate yourself to the vagaries of the timetable. Lucy, Toronto |
