NO is one of my favourite cities to visit. It's unique with its music, food, antiques shops and art galleries, a wonderful zoo, the Aquarium and the river itself. We've been four times.
One fond memory is the Southern hospitality. Visiting one December, I sat on the terrace of a tea shop to watch the staff decorate for the Christmas holidays. The owner kept coming outside to ask if I was okay and didn't I want to come inside where it was warm?. When I told her I was from Canada, she chuckled, brought me another cup of tea and asked me to describe snow to her! That was a challenge and when I told her about the giant snowdrifts I remember from my Montreal childhood, she was aghast.
