I learned yesterday that the U.S. airlines will begin imposing a 50 lb. weight limit on each piece of checked luggage as of this Wednesday (Sept 7). Now maybe I missed the announcement somewhere but it was news to me and especially important since we leave on Thursday for 5 weeks in Europe loaded with goodies for our grandchildren who live in Belgium with our son and daughter-in-law.
