For those of you, like me, who enjoy armchair travel of various kinds, I read recently that a new book entitled The City of Falling Angels, by John Berendt, will be out shortly. As you may remember, Berendt wrote the hugely successful and entertaining book about Savannah, called "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."

Apparently, this new book is based on a fire in an historical church in Venice, and I was told at Indigo Books (a Canadian chain) that it will be in the True Crime Section.

If you're planning a trip to Venice, as I hope to, then this book sounds like a great read.
