Every time I visit Cairns, Australia, where I am lucky enough to have a holiday home, I always tell myself I'll visit another part of the country.

This time I've decided on the Red Centre to see Ayers Rock. Now I've got first-time-traveler nerves, since I've prebooked a helicopter trip over the Olgas. Any feedback on whether that's worth the money? I've also booked the shuttle bus between Ayers Rock & Alice Springs, about a 6 hour trip. Should I have buyer's remorse on that one?
