Subject: Re: Yucatan and Quintana Roo??
Hi Ziners,

I spent some time running around Quintana Roo and Belize. While Chichen Itza gets all the notice, there are a lot of smaller Maya ruins that often are completely tourist free which allows you to roam around and not have to work around crowds. The Rio Bec sites are very interesting. Aside from Mayan ruins, there are lovely Cabanas on the beach south of Cancun in Tulum, and cities like Merida and Campeche which have almost a European feel. It's a good destination for people with less time for vacationing!
