Subject: Re: Vancouver (city) ideas?
Hi Sheila,

In Vancouver, we always enjoy walking in Stanley Park and the area around English Bay is a lovely neighbourhood.

If you have an interest in art, there are many galleries in the city. One we enjoy is the Bau-Xi Gallery (3045 Granville in West Van) and of course the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby) which currently has a Picasso exhibition. There are a number of Emily Carr pieces in the permanent exhbition. http://www.vanartgallery.bc.ca/home.cfm

This website lists a variety of galleries in the City. http://www.welcometobc.ca/vanartgalleries/

A walk through the Kitsilano neighbourhood is always interesting for the West Coast architecture.

BTW, it's "Granville" Island not "Greville". There is a wonderful food market on the island and a boat service to and from the island. Not sure if the boat operates in the winter. Check out this site for more information on Vancover neighbourhoods. http://www.vancouveruserguide.com/neighborhood.html
