If you like Theatre, there are 2 theatres on Granville Island. The Market there is also great to visit...seeing all that fresh food and seafood makes my mouth water.

Another interesting thing to do is to take the Skytrain from downtown Vancouver to Surrey. It will give you a different view, above all the traffic, of the city and surrounding districts.

Riding the Skyride Gondola up to the summit of Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver also gives you a sense of grandeur. You can take the sea-bus accross the harbour, then a bus in North Vancouver to the lower terminus for the ride. Dress warmly as the temperatures are colder at the summit.

All these things you can do without a car too.
