Subject: Travelling close to home |
Hi Ziners,
We spend a lot of our time thinking about or going to
"other" places when often the best travel experiences we
have are in our own back yard.
We plan to spend four days in the Muskoka region of Ontario to celebrate the New Year. Spending time under clear skies, pristine snow on the lake, dead quiet and no danger of bears is very appealing. So we'll pack the car with food, movies, books and winter gear. We'll put the cats in their carry cages and head north for three days of solitude. It always amazes me that we travel the world but Muskoka (for us) is the only place that we truly stop to smell the roses (which are dormant now, but you get my drift). Ziners, tell us about your secret places close to home where you escape. We'll only share these places among ourselves. Lucy, Toronto |
