We were in Southern California in December last year and stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Old Pasadena. It was comparable to all the other hotels in this chain and a big bonus was that it is within walking distance of some great restaurants.

In Old Town San Diego we stayed at the Holiday Inn. Again, nothing exciting, but served its purpose. The highlight of our stay there was dinner at a wonderful Mexican restaurant with Ziners John and Sara.
