If you get a chance, go to the Botanical gardens, if you like gardens. They are just beautiful, but go early because it gets really hot there.

Food is the thing in Singapore. It is fabulous, and not just in restaurants. The hawkers markets are the best. In fact, the one by the botanical garden is excellent. We have a friend who flew there for a spring vacation just to eat! We were on our way to our son's wedding in Indonesia.

They have interesting Bhuddist Temples and a very nice China town. We were there for only two days, so there are places that we never got to see. They do have museums that you can go to when you are feeling overwhelmed by the heat! The old sections have been gentrified with shops, restaurants, etc.

Our daughter was there a few years ago too and I understand that there is a very active nightlife as well.
