My sister and I will be traveling in Japan in late May and early June of 2006. I have a daughter who lives on Kiyushu who is helping us put together an itinerary. She has made two trips to Okinawa and thinks it beautiful. Question: is it a place any of you have visited (other than the military base) and do you recommend taking 2-3 days from a 12-day Japan stay (arrival to departure Tokyo) to visit? Thanks for whatever advice you can give!
