Subject: Re: Nice & Aix-en-provence, France accommodations
Kati,

My husband and I have visited Nice many times. With only one exception, we always stay at the Hotel Suisse. The only rooms with no views are single rooms. We have stayed there in May and June and found noise not to be a problem. Yes, with the doors to the balcony open, you can hear traffic but closed, it is very quiet. Air conditioning is good, beds are comfortable and room was always clean. The staff was always very kind. We did not have the breakfast offered at the hotel, but would walk in to Old Nice and dine. I always ask for rooms on higher floors as they are quieter and the view is better.

Speaking of views, there is no hotel in Nice with a better view than the Suisse. We stayed at the West End, right next to the Negresco in a top floor suite and the view could not compare. Great location to Old Nice, the Promenade and the Port. We walked everywhere, bus and train station, although the train station was a hike. There are buses close by to get to the train station. You will have no regrets with your hotel. Have a great time! We have stayed in Aix also, you will have a gloreous trip!!
