You can apply on line. The charge is $20 AUD. That's about $15 USD. They will tell you your Australian Electronic Travel Authority authorization number, which you write down. You will not receive anything for your passport. It is an electronic record which should be on file when you enter the country. At least that's what I'm counting on!
