Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Holiday Season!

I am planning a trip to Phoenix, Az for a little Chicago Cubs Spring Training and a couple of days up to the Grand Canyon. I am traveling with my older sister and my mom. We are planning on staying somewhere at the Grand Canyon March 12-15. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on what we should definitely see while there.

I know that the North Rim will be closed and it will be chilly, but there should be plenty to see and do. It is the first visit for all 3 of us. Also, has anyone stayed at any of the Lodgings in the Grand Canyon National Park? I believe there are 7 choices being The Bright Angel Lodge, El Tovar Hotel, Kachina Lodge, Maswik Lodge, Thunderbird Lodge, Yavapai Lodge and Phantom Ranch (I think this one is actually down in the canyon). I appreciate any help. I have started looking on websites and in books, but I believe that Ziners really have the inside scoop!
