Subject: Re: new doings in the Los Angeles area
Hi Mark (and all),

Thanks for the info. I looked at the website for the Ashes and Snow exhibit and we may try to get over there to see it, even though I understand Benites Frites has been closed for a while. (I used to have a client in Santa Monica and I never got my fill of their "French" fries.)

Our trip is going to be a bit more compressed and convoluted because of museum opening times and the fact that the Huntington mansion is closed for renovations. I went been to the "Old" Getty a few years ago so I'm familiar with the building and site - one of these days we'll get down there to see the new exhibits.

I'm planning to make a quick stop at the La Brea Tar Pits. I've never been there but it's always been something I've wanted to do, especially since seeing the movie "Volcano". Maybe it's my Northern California prejudice, but I always figured that you southerners wouldn't get that excited about lava flowing through downtown LA.
