Your group may be interested in checking out the Georgia O'Keefe Museum. http://www.okeeffemuseum.org/indexflash.php
The Palace of The Governors is the oldest public building in the US (dating from 1610). It's now a museum of local history and culture. It's also where Native American crafts people gather to sell jewellery and other native crafts. I'm not sure what day of the week they are there (we were in Santa Fe on a weekend). Other Ziners may know. Some of the crafts are beautiful and well worth considering for purchase.

As an aside (I must share this experience with Ziners), we visited the city in early September 2001. September is Fiesta time. We didn't know this but fortunately we easily found a room. One feature of the Fiesta is the Children's Pet Parade - a sight not soon to be forgotten. Hundreds of kids dressed in their finest, carrying cages, pulling on leashes, cradling animals, that include dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, turtles, gerbils, hamsters, etc. etc. etc. Along the parade route are parents and grandparents taking hundreds of photos. It was both a peaceful and riotous experience.
Enjoy your trip. Lucy, Toronto
