We spent 10 days in Washington State in Sept/04 and really enjoyed it. There are some great wineries e.e., Chateau Michele in Seattle and we really enjoyed the market downtown. We also did a harbour tour. The drive down thru the Yakima Valley was impressive as well--lots of wineries if you are into that. Hope you enjoy your trip.
