I will definitely take your advice and use our hotel as a resource.

I've done a little more research. The restaurant that our guide has lined up is the Terrace at the Danieli Hotel. Apparently it is very high end and (according to some reviews) worth the investment. I'd be interested to hear from folks who have dined there.

We are staying at the Amadeus while we are in Venice. My wife has visited Venice before, but this is a first for the rest of us. We can hardly wait.
